Can you eliminate pet odor and stains?: No company or cleaning agent can guarantee to eliminate 100% of the stains or the odor, but the systems we run are the most powerful on the market. We break down pet waste by using enzymes – then rinse with an enzyme-based deodorizer, which helps prevent the odors from coming back and deters the pets from returning.
How long will it take my carpets to dry?: Using the AeroTech-JMAXX System, normal drying times in your house will be between 1 and 2 hours. Commercial situations are even faster.
Do you repair rugs/carpet?: We do not perform repairs, but have partners we recommend.
Do you use harsh chemicals?: We don’t use any chemicals – we use enzymes and deodorizing / sanitizing products – nothing that would be considered harsh. They are very comparable to what you find used in a hospital to kill germs, mold, mildew, bacteria and counter-act odors.
How long will it take to clean my carpets?: A normal residential job takes approximately two hours. Houses that are above 2,000-3,000 SF can take half an hour to an hour longer. Houses that are 400-500 SF, may be less. We block our jobs out in two-hour time increments.
Do you move furniture for a cleaning? Extra charge?: We do move furniture for cleaning and place it back on protective furniture blocks or plastic tabs. This is the standard procedure in most carpet cleaning scenarios. For large pieces of furniture, we may not move those pieces, for the safety of our employees, but do clean around them. It’s a case-by-case situation. There is no charge to move furniture, unless it’s an extraordinary case that requires extra people or extra time.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?: Manufacturers recommend having your carpets cleaned every 12 to 24 months based on your lifestyle. If you have pets or small children you might be in the lower range. Most importantly, vacuum and clean carpets on a regular basis – and have them cleaned professionally by JEM-Clean using the JMAXX System, which involves no harsh chemicals and dries the carpets very fast. In fact, if you read the manufacturing stipulations for cleaning carpets, the JMAXX by JEM-Clean exceeds those recommendations.
What’s included in the price of a cleaning?: The price of the cleaning includes pretreating carpets, where they need to be, the washing of the carpets, the deodorization and any extra steps that may be necessary after the cleaning, especially for harsh pet environments.

Do you seal grouted tile floors?: We do clean grouted tile floors, however, we do not seal them. There are many products that seal grouted tile floors, but from our standpoint we believe it creates more problems than it fixes. Water-based sealers are not long-lasting and the poly or acrylic-based sealers tend to discolor the grout over time. Because of this, it’s impossible to remove the discoloration, and the grout may need to be replaced. We recommend periodically using JEM-Clean’s JMAXX tile and grout cleaning system, to wash and sanitize your floors’ grout.
Can you clean my rugs in-home?: Some rugs can be cleaned in your home. These would be rugs that haven’t been exposed to pet urine problems, very heavy soiling or heavy traffic. For example, if you have a living room rug that you would like freshened up and it’s a synthetic material, we could lightly clean that rug in place. You would benefit more by having your rugs sent to our rug washing professional facility. There, they can be dedusted, thoroughly inspected for damages, cleaned and dried properly. Once completed, we deliver back to your home – all included in the price of our services.
What payment methods are available?: We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards and debit cards. We also offer gift certificates.
Can our company be setup on a regular cleaning schedule?: Absolutely! We currently have over 60 commercial accounts that we visit on an annual, biannual, quarterly or a more frequent basis, to clean high-traffic areas or complete carpets. It helps to keep the atmosphere of the office environment clean and sanitary. It is important to clean these areas due to constant wear and heavy traffic. The current janitorial techniques that most companies utilize are not enough to remove dust and soil. However, by periodically rinsing with a sanitizer that kills germs, mold, mildew and bacteria, this process will make your carpets cleaner and prolong their life. Overall, the office space will be environmentally safer for employees and customers.
Do you clean hardwood floors?: We do not clean hardwood floors – we specialize in cleaning oriental rugs, carpets in residential and commercial settings, upholstery pieces and grouted tile floors. That’s what we are exceptional at!
